Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball (4-8) picked up their 4th win of the season in an 89-78 triumph at Sussex County Community College.
The Vikings came out energized for this conference matchup, opening up an 11-point lead at the half, and closing the game out by the same differential. Four Ocean players scored in double digits, with sophomore Alfred Demby's 22-point, 10-rebound double-double leading the way. Sophomores Sean O'Donnell and Jason Porter scored 18 and 16 points, respectively, and freshman Tyric Trapp added 10 points in the win.
"I'm very happy that we were able to close the game out," said OCC Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "Edward Jones and Jason Porter's sophomore leadership really helped us. Coach Stockton did a great job with his kids. Sussex was a very scrappy team."
Ocean returns to action on Tuesday, January 8th when they travel to Union County College to battle the Owls in a 7 p.m. conference matchup.
