OCC Esports Rolls Through Week 5

Toms River, NJ - OCC Esports took no prisoners in Week 5. Let's get a report from the front lines.

CALL OF DUTY: COLD WAR

OCC lost a close 1-3 game to Barton Community College. They picked up their first win in a match in competitive play. They are off next week with a "bye".

OCC won by forfeit over Nassau Community College. The Vikings improved to 4-1 on the season in this game.

"We have four Vikings with only one loss a little over our halfway point in the season," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "Nick Bushell picked up a win, Conner Zaccagna hasn't lost since week one, and Jackson French continues to dominate with another 3-0 win. Peter and Nick Trindle both suffered their first loss but will bounce back. There are five Vikings with legitimate shots to make the playoffs and Justin is just on the outside. We could qualify the most playoff berths yet."

Ocean County College wins 3-0 over State Fair Community College

The Vikings returned to the win column in Overwatch with a dominant win over State Fair Community College. Ocean is now 2-3 for the season with a bye next week. "We might need a little help and a good last three weeks, but playoffs aren't out of the question in our first season playing Overwatch," declared Coach Ruhl.

OCC Esports returns to action on Mondays at 6pm and 8pm for Call of Duty and Rocket League, on Wednesdays at 6pm and 7pm in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Hearthstone play, and on Fridays for Overwatch. Catch all the action live via the team's official Twitch channel.
