OCC Esports Locks Down Week 3
Toms River, NJ - Week 3 for OCC Esports had its share of highs and lows. Let's see how it all shook down.
CALL OF DUTY: COLD WAR
Nick Bushell
Kyle Ruppert
Nicholas Halkias
Brandon Carman
OCC dropped their third straight COD match to Three Rivers Community College. Nick was confident that OCC would get back on track after the bumpy start. He said there were close moments in every match that if they went our way we could have won. The team is looking to make small adjustments going into the 2nd half of the season.
SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE
Ken Piscopo lost 0-3 to Salt Lake City Community College
Conner Zaccagna won 3-0 against Calhoun Community College
Nick Trindle won 3-0 against Hawkeye Community College
Peter Dos Santos won 3-2 against Alexandria Technical University
Justin Ritter lost 0-3 versus Kishwaukee Community College
Kyle Ruppert lost 0-3 to Vincensee Community College
Jackson French (BYE)
Nick Trindle and Peter Dos Santos start their first season undefeated. Peter won a close decision over Alexandria Technical. Connor Zaccagna won his second straight over Calhoun Community College. "Justin Ritter ran into some tough competition, but I think he's probably the best 1-2 player in the League," remarked OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "He's either going to make a playoff push or play spoiler for the rest of the season." Returning finalist Jackson French is looking to get his first matches in after a few weeks of byes. As we get near the midway point in the season, it looks like OCC will make another deep push into the playoffs.
HEARTHSTONE
Ken Piscopo lost 0-3 to Hudson Valley Community College
"Ken lost a few close games, but is improving every week," recounted Coach Ruhl.
