OCC Esports Launches Spring 2022 Season with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College's esports team kicked off their spring 2022 season on Wednesday (2/16) with wins in both of their contests.
Competing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, OCC varsity student-athlete Jackson French swept Hinds Community College, 3-0, while Conner Zaccagna defeated Dallas College - Richland by forfeit.
"OCC has a smaller team this year. However, everyone has the ability to win every game they play," stated OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "I know everyone will qualify for playoffs and it's an exciting time for OCC SSBU. Jackson French continues to dominate and has yet to lose a regular-season match. Jackson has been close to winning it all both of his first two seasons and hopes that this is the year he gets it done. Regardless, he's fun to watch."
