OCC Esports Faces Adversity in Week 5 of Smash Play

Toms River, NJ - OCC Esports had a difficult 5th week of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate play, taking 2 losses on Wednesday (3/16) evening. Justin Ritter put up a fight, but lost to Garden City Community College by a 3-1 score, while Conner Zaccagna was shut out by Johnston Community College, 3-0.
"A tough night for the Vikings," reflected OCC Esports Head Coach John Ruhl. "Conner lost on 0-3 to an outstanding player from Johnston Community College, while Justin dropped a 1-3 split to Garden City Community College. Conner and Justin both have a more difficult road to the playoffs, but they are the type of players who can run the table for the rest of the season. Every match counts from here on out."
