Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College athletic department has announced the hiring of Linda Lensch in the position of head coach of their softball program.
A member of the USA Softball of New Jersey and Union County ASA Halls of Fame, Linda brings a wealth of softball experience to Ocean, having served in the positions of assistant and/or pitching coach at Seton Hall, Kean, and Stockton Universities. She coached top-flight women's fastpitch at the ASA Major and Class-A levels, and won a 23U national championship. Most recently, Linda worked for the New Jersey Ruthless Fastpitch program, as a pitching instructor and clinician, as well as a head coach for their 14U travel team. Linda is also a certified endorsed pitching coach by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), and a certified elite-level high-performance pitching coach by Master Coach Rick Pauly, of PaulyGirl Fastpitch.
"Simply put, I'm experienced in building and maintaining winning softball programs," stated Lensch. "I look forward to bringing what I've learned to Ocean's outstanding student-athletes."
Coach Lensch will be supported by assistant coach Courtney Damiano, who will be entering her 2nd season in the position.
