Jose Rafael, Hannah Steidle Tapped to Lead OCC Men's Volleyball

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College athletic department has announced the hiring of Jose Rafael and Hannah Steidle in the positions of head and assistant coach of their men's volleyball team.
An OCC alumnus, Coach Jose returns to Ocean having gained 12 years of experience at the volleyball club level, where he served as Co-Club Director and Head Volleyball Coach at Ocean Volleyball Club. His coaching philosophy centers on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic excellence. "I'm committed to creating a supporting and challenging environment where student-athletes can thrive both on and off the court," remarked Rafael.
Coach Steidle arrives with a deep background in the sport as both a player and a coach, including 5 years in the role of Director of Operations for the volleyball program at Tacoma Baptist High School. Steidle has coached consistently in the sport of volleyball since 2013.
OCC Men's Volleyball begins their upcoming spring season in February of 2026.
