Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings baseball team were soundly defeated in seven innings by North Central Missouri College, 16-5. The teams battled back and forth through the first four innings, with Tom MacFarland pitching strongly, and Juan Nunez lacing a two-run single in the bottom of the fourth to establish a 5-4 lead. Once MacFarland came out of the game, a series of critical errors and poor relief pitching added to what became a lopsided final score.
The Vikings return to action tomorrow with a 9am game against nationally ranked Elgin C.C.
