Vikings Fall to Lehigh Carbon, 7-6

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Vikings Baseball were defeated by Lehigh Carbon Community College on Wednesday (4/19), by a final score of 7-6. A combination of errors and poor pitching greatly contributed to the Vikings' losing performance, with four Vikings pitchers brought in over the game's 8 innings. Offensively, the Vikings remained strong, collecting 16 hits. Andrew Slinger (3-5, RBI), Matt Corsi (3-5, RBI), Tom Pulcine (2-5, RBI), Nick Moglia (2-5, RBI) and Quintin Garvin (2-4, RBI) lead the Vikings from the batter's box.
The Vikings next head into a weekend series with Bergen Community College, with a game at Bergen on Friday (4/21) at 3:30 p.m. and a weekend doubleheader at home on Saturday (4/22), beginning at 12:00 p.m.
