Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Baseball team moved to within one win away from qualifying for the NJCAA Region XIX playoffs with a decisive, 24-10 win against Raritan Valley Community College on Wednesday (5/3). Freshman pitcher Jon Meaney won his first collegiate game with a strong 5-inning relief outing, while OCC Athlete of the Week Mike Calabrese remained red hot, going 4 for 4 with two doubles and 4 RBI. Nick D'Arcy also hit 4 for 4, while knocking in 3 runs, Tyler Kay went 3-5 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI, and Andrew Slinger drove in 2 runs in a 2 for 5 performance.
The Vikings return to action on Friday (5/5), when they host Union County College for a single game at 3:30 p.m.
