Toms River, NJ - The OCC Vikings baseball team won their 1st game of the season with a 3-2 win over Salem Community College, to split their doubleheader today (3/5).
OCC freshman pitcher Dylan Wanagiel pitched a complete game 3-hitter to earn his first collegiate victory, while sophomore Mike Brunner belted 3 triples and drove in 3 runs on the day. Freshman Alex Alonso collected 2 hits and had a stellar defensive day, and freshman outfielder Brian Yadlon made 2 outstanding outfield plays on defense to secure the victory.
The Vikings' next contest is Sunday, March 13th when they welcome Division II opponent Raritan Valley Community College to campus for a 12 P.M. doubleheader.
