OCC Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader Versus Bergen CC

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Baseball followed up a tough loss to Bergen CC on March 19 with a doubleheader sweep of the Bulldogs on March 20.
GAME 1:
Ocean CC defeated Bergen CC, 9-7

Winning Pitcher: Aiden Lynch (1-1)
Eager to soothe the sting of yesterday's loss to Bergen, the Vikings pounded the Bulldogs early with a 5-run 2nd inning before adding 4 more runs in the 6th to secure the win. Sophomore Evan Booth blasted a home run while Dan Nafziger and Aiden Lynch combined forces on the mound to shut down Bergen's offensive effort.

Ocean CC defeated Bergen CC, 18-1

The Vikings pounded Bergen in the team's most lopsided win of the season thus far, with freshman third baseman Dominic Urso sending a 3-run home run into the trees, and sophomore centerfielder Anthony Eckerson driving in 4 runs on 3-for-3 hitting.
OCC Baseball next takes the field on Tuesday, March 24, when they welcome DII opponent Raritan Valley CC to campus.
