OCC Softball Sweeps Doubleheader Against Monroe College

Toms River, NJ - OCC Softball improved their overall record to 8-14 courtesy of a doubleheader sweep against visiting Monroe College (Bronx) on Thursday (4/18).
GAME 1 - The Vikings toppled the Express in 5 innings with a 15-3 win. Cassidy Buckley, Danielle Payton, and Mariel Almaria all hit 2-4, with Mariel driving in 2 runs. Elayna Lohkamp rounded out the notable offensive performances, with a 3 for 4 game, with 4 RBIs.
GAME 2 - Vikings pitcher Hailey Dries picked up win #8 as Ocean shut out Monroe, 14-0 in another 5 inning affair. Dries also drove in 2 runs, while Ryanne Fetzer hit 2-2 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
The Vikings next travel to Sussex County Community College on Saturday, April 20th for a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
