Community College of Philadelphia Defeats Ocean CC Women's Basketball, 82-46

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball slid to 0-5 overall to start the 2025 season after an 82-46 road loss at Community College of Philadelphia on Saturday (11/22).

Ocean sophomore guard Brooke Schmidt (Lacey, NJ/Lacey Township H.S.) led the Vikings' scoring effort as she has all season, contributing 23 points and 6 rebounds in the losing effort. Schmidt, who is averaging 20 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, was aided by freshman guard Lola Darcy (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Boro H.S.), who scored 14 and led the team with 4 assists. This game marked the return of D'Anna Capriotti (Tuckerton, NJ/Pinelands Regional H.S.) to the lineup, after missing Ocean's previous two games. The freshman guard scored 6 points and brought down 5 rebounds in her time on the court. 

The Vikings will next see action on Tuesday, December 2, when they travel to Atlantic Cape CC for a 5pm matchup against the Bucs.
