Women's Basketball Dominates Sussex CCC, 76-61
Toms River, NJ - Ocean CC Women's Basketball locked in their 2nd win of the season in a dominant performance on Thursday night (1/22), defeating the Sussex County CC Skylanders, 76-61.
OCC freshman guard Lola Darcy (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Boro H.S.) continued her solid play all season, with a team-leading 28 points, while sophomore guard Brooke Schmidt (Lacey, NJ/Lacey Township H.S.) walloped the Skylanders with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in a blistering all-around effort. Freshmen Regan Ottinger (Brick, NJ/Wall H.S.) and D'Anna Capriotti (Tuckerton, NJ/Pinelands Regional H.S.) crashed the boards tonight, with Ottinger grabbing a season-high 15 rebounds, and Capriotti 11 in the win.
The Vikings will seek their third win of the season this Tuesday, January 27, when they face Sussex once more, in Toms River.
