Hernandez Returns in Vikings' 93-67 Loss to Atlantic Cape CC

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball dipped to an overall record of 4-15 following a 93-67 loss at home to the Buccaneeers of Atlantic Cape CC.

Ocean sophomore guard Tatiana Hernandez (Farmingdale, NJ/Howell H.S.) returned to the lineup for the first time since suffering an injury on November 11 and made an immediate impact, with the 2025 All-Region 19 team member scoring 13 points with 5 rebounds and 3 assists in her 30 minutes of action. Freshman guard Lola Darcy (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Boro H.S.) scored 25 points and grabbed 6 steals, while freshman forward Regan Ottinger (Brick, NJ/Wall H.S.) pulled down 12 rebounds in a tough loss which saw the Bucs force 39 turnovers out of Ocean. Darcy currently ranks in the national top 25 with 17.2 points per game.

The Vikings next take the court this Saturday, February 7, when they travel to RCSJ Cumberland for a 12pm tip-off.
