Women's Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match at Passaic County CC

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball earned their 5th and 6th wins of the season in a tri-match sweep at host Passaic County CC on Saturday (10/4).

MATCH 1 - Ocean CC defeats Harrisburg Area Community College, 3-1

The Vikings bounce back from a difficult 1st set (20-25 loss) to take down HACC, 3-1. Ocean freshman middle blocker Ashlee Kuhl was fantastic in this match, scoring 12.5 points along with supplying 10 digs and 6 kills in the win. 

MATCH 2 - Ocean CC defeats Passaic County Community College, 3-2

Ocean freshman opposite hitter Brianna Murphy shined in this match, scoring 16 points with 14 kills and 13 digs, while sophomore Macayla Lindner was virtually unstoppable, blasting 26 points with 24 kills and 21 digs in the win.

"I'm proud of our team," remarked OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Dan Torsiello. "We battled through exhaustion, being out of position, and missing three key contributors to secure this win."

The Vikings return to action on Monday, October 6, when they host Delaware County CC at 6pm.
