Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Baseball extended their winning streak to eight games in a dominant doubleheader sweep of Valley Forge Military College yesterday, with scores of 12-1 (Game 1) and 11-3 (Game 2).
Sophomore third baseman Tom Pulcine continued his outstanding offensive performance, going 6 for 9 over the two games, with 6 RBI. Pulcine is now 12 for 18 over his last four games, with 2 doubles, 2 triples and 12 RBI. Sophomore centerfielder Quintin Garvin supplied fireworks as well, going 6 for 8 with 3 RBI in the Sunday sweep. Sophomore pitcher Drew Zytko picked up his fourth consecutive victory on the mound, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 3 in his five innings.
